Why does a preview stop after 30 seconds?

Understand preview length, audio quality, and the original download.

Streamed previews are reduced-quality versions of the first 30 seconds of a sample. Shorter samples can finish earlier. When a sample is longer than its preview, the player shows its full length; reaching the end of the preview is expected and does not mean the original is cut off.

Use Download and accept the license to get the original uploaded audio. Its format depends on the source file; downloading an MP3 upload does not turn it into a WAV recording. Use the original download, rather than a recording of the preview, in your music software.

If your music software cannot open the download, check that the transfer completed and that you have extracted any pack ZIP. Try playing the original file on your device to distinguish an incomplete file from an import problem. For clicks, distortion, or an unexpectedly short original, keep the sample link and file details when reporting the issue.
